Sue Vince
Sue Vince is a Physiotherapist at the Abbotsford Regional Hospital and Cancer Center. An avid cyclist, Sue is a co-chair of the Abbotsford Cycling Action Group (ACAG).
The ACAG exists to represent general cycling interests and to seek opportunities and partnerships that will help to promote the safety, respect and benefits of cycling. In addition, the ACAG aims to promote cycling as affordable recreation, inexpensive exercise and non-polluting transportation.
Sue’s personal focus is on active transportation and the built environment. She comments, “the research is starting to explode about the built environment and the benefits to everyone – livable cities, fit and healthy children and adults, social justice, environment, community building and the local economy”
Sue is excited to see how the SCOPE project will encourage children, youth and their families to participate in active transportation including walking, cycling and rolling. In addition, she would love to see Abbotsford host a Ciclovia (a closed street that is used exclusively for biking, walking, and other similar activities) on Sundays in Abbotsford. Sue’s ultimate dream would be that active transportation becomes easier than driving when moving about Abbotsford.
